Winery Olympics

Years and years of training, pushing yourself beyond all limits, personal sacrifice...no, I'm not talking about the Olympic athletes...I'm talking about our winemakers and the cellar crews. Ever tried to roll an empty barrel 25 yards? Straight? How quickly can you top off a barrel? Without spilling wine?

The local distributor team had the opportunity to show off their strenghts. Winemaker Jeff Stewart hosted a 'Winery Olympics' contest between 4 of the local sales teams. Events included the barrel roll, wine racking, and blind tastings of area pinot noirs. The grand prize was Jeff grilling tri-tips and sipping Syrah....so we were all winners!
